VANESSA'S  BIOGRAPHY

Hi, I’m Vanessa Di Pietro – a Montreal-based photographer.

I officially began my photography journey in 2025, but the passion has always been there. I’ve been drawn to capturing moments for as long as I can remember, especially the beauty of landscapes. There’s something about freezing a fleeting moment that makes time stand still. Sometimes, I’d get so lost in framing the perfect shot, I’d forget everything else around me. That’s when I knew photography wasn’t just a hobby, it was something I needed to pursue.

Prior to photography becoming my full-time focus, I was climbing the corporate ladder,  chasing stability, structure, and a steady paycheck. Since I was sixteen years old, I believed security came first and passion was something you saved for weekends. Photography was my creative outlet, but I never imagined it could be the thing. 

I convinced myself that photography was just a hobby, something I loved, but not something I could pursue professionally. It took me years to realize that true happiness comes from following your heart and leaning into what lights you up.

2025 will always be the year to remember, the year I chose myself, took the leap, and started building a life filled with meaning and joy in ways I never imagined.
